March Break and the Family Gripa
There are certain times in a family when the "family gripa" strikes.
It starts off as an innocent cough but soon develops into a fever and trips to the doctor. During our March Break we had many visitors at the door. Tonsilitus came to visit my son so we fed him some antibiotics and he went away. Then the hard knocks of the Sinus infection came calling on my wife, we told him she has antibiotics and he went away. The Sinus infection came back a couple of days later and I happened to answer the door this time. Well once again a visit to the doctor was in order.
As the weather warmed and the sun began to shine we thought we had shut the door on the ills of the week when tonsilitis came calling again. My daughter signed on to the Tonsilitis Plan. She took an evening trip to the closest drop in last night and is taking the latest round of medication. There's nothing more scary than a lethargic six year old girl with fever and bright red cheeks.
All this and EASTER too! I hope the Easter Bunny hasn't picked up anything extra this season.
It does give one an appreciation of the normal days...
