My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler...

I want to do a good job. I want to work hard. I want to spend 7.5 hours a day contributing to a corporate vision...

I can't.

I thought maybe it was me but then I saw Office Space again. I had seen it years ago and thought it was an interesting movie but I couldn't imagine life being like that. Ah youth. When I saw it again it was like Dilbert and Peter Gibbons were sitting in my cubicle...sharing my frustration..sharing my pain.

As I watched it a surreal feeling of living the Office Space came over me like a wave at the beach. This was my life. This was my existence for 7.5 hours a day. This was my pain.

The main dialog that picked up my feet and threw me into the beach water was as follows:

Peter Gibbons : You see Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.
Bob Porter : Don't? Don't care?
Peter Gibbons : It's a problem of motivation, alright? Now if I work my ass off and Initech ships a few extra units, I don't see another dime, so where's the motivation? And here's another thing, I have eight different bosses right now.
Bob Porter : Eight?
Peter Gibbons : Eight Bob. So that means when I make a mistake, I have eight different people coming by to tell me about it. That's my only real motivation is not to be hassled, that and the fear of losing my job. But you know, Bob, that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired.

So I'm not lazy, I lack motivation and I just don't care!
I hope I'll wash up on another beach and then I can care once again!!!!
